About Kristine Louise Apple
Kris (Kristine Louise Apple) was a fiercely devoted and loving wife to Rich (Richard Douglas Apple). For more than 37 wonderful years of marriage, they built a life together centered on love, faith, laughter, and family.

​​Kris was an endearing, supportive, proud, and protective “mama bear” to their four children: Boden Tyler, Dustin Tyler, Kelsey Louise, and Douglas Richard. She loved each of them deeply and unconditionally, always offering guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support. She eventually extended her love to each of their spouses, Alli, Mathew, and Hannah. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in watching it grow.
She was also a doting and affectionate grandmother whose heart overflowed with joy for her treasured grandchildren: Tatum, her “Turkey Butt”; Louis, her “Monkey Butt”; Ayah, her “Butterfly Butt”; Alana, her “Unicorn Butt”; and little Kristine ​​​​​
Mae, her “Turtle Butt.” Those playful nicknames reflected the warmth, humor, and special bond she shared with each of them.
Kris’s love extended even to the family’s beloved “grand puppies”—Harley, Moose, Hera, and Howard. They, too, were cherished members of the family and were proudly included in the latest family photos.​​​​​
Kris had a remarkable way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Her warm smile, comforting presence, and joyful laughter touched countless lives. She possessed a genuine kindness and gentle spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

One of the most profound and inspirational chapters of Kris’s life was the way she faced her diagnosis with ALS. She often referred to it as her “Cross to Bear,” yet she carried it with extraordinary grace, strength, dignity, and unwavering faith. Even in the most difficult moments, Kris continued to love, smile, sparkle, and laugh. She never complained and never allowed darkness to overshadow the light within her.

Watching her meet this challenge with such courage inspired everyone around her. Family and friends rallied together, circling the wagons in support, and in many ways, her strength brought the family closer than they ever imagined possible. It was truly an honor to stand beside her, to support her, and to witness firsthand the depth of her faith and the extraordinary strength of her character.
Through it all, Kris continued to bring comfort and encouragement to others, reminding us what truly matters in life—faith, family, love, and gratitude for each moment we share. Her journey became a powerful testament to resilience, compassion, and the enduring power of love.
Kris’s legacy is one of unwavering devotion to family, steadfast faith, and a love that continues to live on in those she leaves behind. Her example will guide us forward, reminding us to support one another, cherish the people in our lives, and face life’s challenges with courage and grace.
The love Kris gave so freely lives on in her children, her grandchildren, and in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit remains a part of our lives, shining through the family she cherished so deeply.
